Answers to the questions we’re asked most often about memberships, entry, facilities and opening. We’ll keep this page updated as details are confirmed.
Opening and location
When will AARC open?
The City of Wanneroo currently expects the Centre to open in December 2026, subject to construction being completed and the required approvals. We’ll share updates as the opening arrangements are confirmed.
Where is the Centre located?
AARC is on Koomool Drive, Alkimos, opposite Alkimos train station.
Where is the Centre, and can I visit before it opens?
AARC is on Koomool Drive in Alkimos Central, opposite Alkimos train station. The Centre is still under construction and isn’t available for public inspections. We’ll announce any opportunities to visit before opening once safe access arrangements are confirmed.
Can I view the Centre before joining?
The Centre is currently being prepared for opening. Information about tours, member inductions and opportunities to explore the facilities will be shared closer to opening.
I registered for updates but have not received an email. What should I do?
Please check your junk or spam folder. Registering for updates does not secure a membership; you must complete the online joining process. You can also check our website and social media for the latest announcements.
How can I stay informed or ask another question?
Follow AARC on social media and check our website for updates. If you have more questions, email our team at alkimos@bluefit.com.au or submit an enquiry through the membership page, we’re happy to help!
Members will also receive email updates about opening, access and getting started.
Memberships
Are Foundation Memberships still available?
No. Foundation Memberships are now exhausted following an overwhelming response from the community. If you missed out, you can still join AARC through our Results or Active membership options.
What membership options are available?
At AARC, we keep it simple: one membership with full facility access and outstanding value for money. Just choose the payment option that suits you:
Results: A 12-month minimum term commitment with a lower weekly rate and no joining fee.
Active: A flexible month-to-month option with no long-term commitment and a $99 joining fee.
Concession discounts are available on both options for eligible students, seniors and pensioners.
What membership options are available, and what do they include?
Foundation Memberships are sold out, but other membership options are available online. Results offers a lower weekly rate with a 12-month minimum term commitment, while Active offers month-to-month flexibility. Membership includes access to the Health Club, pools, studios and classes, and recovery and relaxation facilities. The Health Club includes Technogym equipment, group fitness, spin and Reformer Pilates.
When can I join?
You can join online now! Simply select the membership option above that best suits you and complete the online joining process.
Who is eligible for a concession membership?
Concession memberships are available to eligible students, seniors, pensioners and Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) cardholders. Please present your valid Student, Senior, Pensioner or DVA card on your first visit.
What is included in my membership?
Membership includes access to the health club, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, group fitness, Reformer Pilates, spa, sauna and steam room. Stadium access is subject to availability and the conditions applying to the activity or booking. Separate charges apply to services such as Learn to Swim and the crèche.
Is Reformer Pilates included?
Yes. Reformer Pilates is included in membership, with instructor-led and virtual sessions planned. Classes must be booked and are subject to availability.
How old do I need to be to join?
You can join AARC from 14 years of age. Younger members require an adult to sign their membership form, with adult supervision required in certain areas and programs.
Members under 16 must be supervised by a parent/guardian who is also a member at all times whilst using our facilities. A member must be at least 16 years old to participate in weight-based group exercises or resistance training activities.
The warm water program pool, spa, sauna and steam room are available to people aged 16 and over. Additional conditions may apply to younger members, including access outside staffed hours.
Will I pay ongoing membership fees before the Centre opens?
No. Regular membership payments will commence when the Centre opens. Any joining fee or initial payment required during sign-up will be shown before you complete your purchase.
How are membership payments collected?
Membership prices are displayed as weekly amounts, with payments debited fortnightly. Your joining information will explain the payment schedule, including any initial pro-rata amount.
When does my 12-month commitment begin?
For Results memberships, the minimum 12-month commitment begins when your membership activates at opening. Joining during the pre-opening period does not start your commitment early.
What happens after my Results membership’s initial 12 months?
After your 12 months minimum term your membership continues until you give us 2 weeks written notice to cancel. Your membership agreement explains the ongoing arrangements, payment conditions and notice required if you wish to cancel.
Does a cooling-off period apply?
Yes. The applicable cooling-off period and how to exercise it are explained in your membership agreement. Please review these conditions when joining.
Can I suspend or cancel my membership?
Suspension and cancellation conditions depend on your membership type. Please review the membership terms before joining or contact our team for help understanding your options. Active memberships are month to month, with cancellation subject to the required notice period.
Will there be a FIFO membership?
A dedicated FIFO membership is not available at launch. We will review demand after opening. Our Active membership offers a month-to-month option for customers seeking greater flexibility.
Will AARC accept Fitness Passport?
Fitness Passport access will not be available at launch. Customers can access the Centre through an AARC membership or the available casual entry options.
I have a Foundation Membership. Does this release affect my membership?
No. Your Foundation Membership and its benefits remain unchanged, and you don’t need to do anything. We’ll be in touch closer to opening with everything you need to get started.
I signed up but haven’t received a confirmation email. What should I do?
Check your inbox and junk or spam folder first. If you still can’t find your confirmation, email alkimos@bluefit.com.au with your name, sign-up email address and payment reference so the team can check your record. Please don’t submit another application or make another payment while your membership is being checked.
