Help your students build confidence in the water and swimming skills for life. BlueFit Swimming offers weekly and intensive programs for students from their first year of school through to high school. We work with your school to plan lessons around your timetable, curriculum needs and students’ experience, with a focus on swimming technique, water safety and steady progress.

What to expect

We work with your school before, during and after the program.
1

Before

Parents complete a swimming-history survey. We organise initial groups, share class lists and can provide a risk assessment.
2

First day

Students meet the pool-deck team, receive a safety induction and have their groups checked during the first lesson.
3

During

Students practise and are assessed throughout. The Program Leader helps adjust levels, while school staff remain on deck to assist.
4

At the end

Each participating student receives a certificate showing their swim level. We also help your school plan its next program.

Frequently asked questions

How are students grouped?

Parents complete a pre-program survey about their child’s swimming experience. We use this to organise initial groups, check students during the first lesson and adjust levels where needed. Students without a completed survey will need an assessment before joining a suitable group.

What if a student has additional learning needs?

Tell us at the time of booking so we can plan suitable groups and support. Let us know about any students who should not be grouped together. Where additional assistance is needed for safe participation, a school teacher or carer may need to join the student in the pool.

Do students receive a swim-level certificate?

Every participating student receives a certificate showing their swim level. Certificates are supplied to the school at the end of the program for distribution.

Can our school include the Victorian Water Safety Certificate?

Victorian schools can ask us to incorporate the certificate requirements into their program. These cover water safety knowledge, rescue skills, a survival sequence and a continuous 50-metre swim. Let us know when you enquire so we can discuss your school’s requirements.
